Educational Outcomes for Graduates of the Department of Computer Science at graduation
Current Outcomes as of the 2009-2010 Academic Year:

Graduates of the Department of Computer Science will, at graduation:

  1. Have the strong technical background and problem solving skills which allow them to analyze, design, and implement software solutions to complicated real-world problems.
  2. Have a broad background inside as well as outside of the CS field.
  3. Have the ability to effectively work together in team environments as well as individually.
  4. Have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both in written and oral communication.
  5. Be cognizant of ethical issues and societal concerns of computing and their impact on society.
  6. Have professional preparation through professional organizations, interaction w/ professionals at both on and off campus activities, internships, co-ops, field-trips, and capstone course.
  7. Be prepared for additional education; continuing education, life-long learning and/or graduate studies.
  8. Have the ability to use current techniques, skills and tools necessary for computing practice and be able to apply or evaluate a computer-based system to solve a problem.
