Debjoyti Sengupta

Debjyoti Sengupta completed his B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology, India in 2014. Then he did his M.Tech in Mechatronics from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur in 2016.
During his M.Tech at IIEST, Shibpur he has worked as a Research Assistant at Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, Durgapur under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.
Since June 2016 he was working with Hyundai Motor India Ltd. and has experience in working on the assembly line, and working with various vendors of automotive parts in the industry. Thereafter he was looking after Service Training of Hyundai vehicles as team member from Oct 2016 to Mar 2018 in New Delhi. Then he took the on the same role at Kolkata from Mar 2018 to May 2022. During this time from Nov 2020 to May 2022 he was heading the East Zone Service Training operations for Hyundai Motor India, covering the states of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, Sikkim and parts of Chattisgarh.
He has joined Missouri University of Science & Technology in Fall 2022 as a PhD student under the guidance of Dr. Sajal Das. He intends to work in the area of intelligence of robotic systems and applications of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in Robotics, mainly in unstructured environments.

Navid Seidi is a computer science Ph.D. student under the supervision of Prof. Das at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He graduated in IT Engineering from Qazvin Islamic Azad University (QIAU), Iran. With a background of working as a software developer in health-related organizations, his research interests include smart health, smart applications, and machine learning applications in health.
